What I still dont understand is why do Special Forces get more authority. They can play the game, but that doesnt necesarily mean they are good leaders. Why Isn't the special forces on the same level as everyone else leadership wise, but much more "prestigeous" skill wise. I say we get rid of Warrant officers and make each squad consist of Ensign-LT commander. Including the Special forces...All they really are is a squad that works well together just like all the other squads should. I think the leader of spec forces should be a commander as well as 2 other squad leaders.

we are investing so much time into these special forces... Do we really want the best fighters in our clan all in one group? Does that help other guys improve? Does that make us a well balanced clan? Or does it make squads alpha-delta the guys that are supposed to have their asses saved every game by the Special Forces. One could argue they arent the best fighters, they just work well together. And I would say thats perfect. Now why isnt everyone else on that level. Our focus is way off from where it should be. We're only as good as our weakest squad. If Bravo (sorry Dro) keeps getting beat and we kept getting flanked, that sucks. Then you send in Special Forces to the back, and wherever Bravo goes next is the weak point. So I think this whole thing is a waste of our time, and will cause more damage to the clan than help it.

supa the reason they would be a higher rank is because they would have to be able to lead in order to get a job like that done. Look at last night when it was me you and smookey we were only facing 6 guys and couldn't do it. The special forces are going to only going to be a few guys, i will put money on that. It is going to be really hard to get in but it will make alot of guys try and work harder together to get into it. And your still thinking really static on the squads. the idea for them is when we need them there is a group that works extremely well together, but that doesnt mean they cant still play with trei's squad. Even when you when during the training a few guys will talk to each person separate that was trying out to see if they deserve to be SF. Again like last night if we won that i would not think smookey is ready to be SF yet, there was a time he went from having a support gun to a sub machine gun with out saying anything until the round started, that threw off what we were going to do that round. And later on we saw some guys you fell back to flank i follow he rushed them and got killed.

1) The special Forces creates an "elitist" atmosphere that considers everyone who isn't in Special Forces as lesser members.

2) It takes Talent away from the squads. Squads are where people learn. People learn by following the lead of good players. by taking out some of the best players, the worse players lose the chance to learn from them. Especially when we do things like Squad Practice or just roll as a squad. (Imagine that smookey wasn't following your instructions when you were with us. Imagine him as 3rd best member of Charlie. If you were in my squad, I'd want you to stay there and help lead because you are good at it. I wouldnt want you to ditch us to do your own thing with a just 3 other guys.)

3) I bet, with a 50 man roster, we will hold 5-6 try outs (not to mention people trying out after they probably lose). That 5-6 times where we waste an hour or so. Its wasteful for the 8+ people on the other team because it isn't a realistic situation. In a battle, they wont be facing a 4 man team. So they don't really get any strategy experience because you play a lot different when facing less people. Not to mention how shitty you're gonna feel after you lose to a 4 man team. And if 8 of our guys can lose to 4 of our guys...I think we have a big problem that should be looked at.

This is why I am against a Special Forces Team. Will you please tell me the benefits to having it?

Thats not how the special forces are going to roll. If guys make it into SF they are going to be done with training they will be our better players yes. And possibly the best squad in that game. Will it separate people I don't think so. Members will look up to them and many will work harder to gain there standing. When we are in games with each other we can integrate SF with rookies or squads and show them things. Use the SF as teachers to point out scenario and what they would do. The real job of the SF is say were in a clan war and we are playing extraction, 32 players. The squads will be given tasks such as holding or taking areas. Where the SF guys are the ones that are going in and grabbing the hostages. If they need help they can call on a squad for back up or something like this. Honestly I only believe a hand full of people will even make special forces at max i would guess 8 guys. But just because they are in SF doesn't mean they aren't going to play with new members, or members that are not as good as they are. Yes some of the guys in SF could let it get to there heads and start bragging and rubbing it into everyones faces but thats another problem the clan will let 13 know about and even if he is in SF he could still get the boot for it. No one wants a guy like that on the team.

As for a waste of time of time for the team with 8+ guys, if they play different and get owned I would hope they take the 4 man team serious and start playing for real or we do have a problem. It might not give alot of experience to the guys on the 8+ side but the 4 man side will gain alot. They aren't going to be able to just camp in the base and wait for people to attack them. They are going to have to attack, thats hard to do when you out numbered that much. They will start to think of new ways of attacking, creating diversions having guys flank. letting enemies pass and then shoot. Its stuff you really don't think about in a game. I know personally I didn't until i started playing paintball and was thrown in that situation where it was my ass getting shot if i played it like i normally did, firing when i see someone right away and not using my team mates. Even if they lose they can learn from there mistakes and correct them later. And yeah it would be a waste if every time 4 guys are on were just like SF tryouts lets go, we'll have a set days for them and you can only do tryout once a week or something like that so its not every day.

You make some good points.

I still don't see the advantage of having Special Forces go grab hostages and such, when any other squad should be able to do that too. By saying It's Alpha's job to always cover some area while SF gets the hostages, Alpha isnt going to learn. So if SF dies...the other squads aren't prepared to do their duty because their focus is totally different. It makes sense to me to have every squad capable of getting the bomb/hostages, and then rotating which one does it when one squad struggles. Instead of having 1 squad always doing the the same thing, dying, then having everyone wonder what to do.

they will be but primary is sf i would say for extraction unless they post up super strong, but i mean supa wouldnt u like to know if its a breach map and you only got 4 guys left and the other team just killed everyone with grenades in the start and its like 4 on 12 or something that the 4 guys have been in this situation and won and it wasn't just one round it was a whole game? I'm all for joint attacks and other squads getting the bomb and planting and stuff i was just saying that extraction situation, the other squads would a distraction while the SF sneak past and get the vips.
Like you said tho every squad should know how to get the hostages, plant a bomb, or escort vips. But SF guys may be the ones 13 says to go and grap the vips or move the vips in a war

what are the chances of everyone on our team dying except for the 4 guys on SF. Yes its good in theory to have a group of guys who can get the job done in that situation. But in practicality, when is there true use really going to be more effective than a squad, when you can just as easily say "alpha team set a distraction for bravo.

I for one think a SF squad is needed. Even the US Army has a SF that does the dirty shit that other soldiers cant do. Whos to say that the SF squad wont save your ass one day Supa? Its always a good idea to have a back up plan.

I would approve of that. A back up plan. Make them full members of the squads they come from. They are with the squads entirely until we discover we have a problem. Then they can branch off of their respective squads and do the work they are capable of. But until we see a problem, there should be no reason to seperate people from their squads
