Ranks 4 Confrontation
I know we talked about this yesterday but lets get some shit down on paper. We need ideas for ranks how many, what they are and so on. I personally think it should go as follows...
Captain = 13thWarrior only he can get it cause hes leader
Special Forces are next and get broken down into this: Ensign lowest ranking SF member still higher ranking the squad leaders. Junior LT, Senior LT, LT Commander, Commander
So now it would work like this:
Commander is squad leader of his SF group and the top SF squad leader
LT Commander is Squad leader of his SF Unit
Senior LT is second in command of his SF Unit
Junior LT is 3rd in command of his SF Unit
Ensign is 4th in command of his SF Unit
For squads it goes as follows:
WO1 (Warrant Officer 1) is 3rd in command of his squad
WO2 (Warrant Officer 2) is 2nd in command of his squad
WO3 (Warrant Officer 3) is commander of his squad
WO4 (Warrant Officer 4) is commander of his squad and the top commander of all squads
New guys:
Recruit-just joined the clan has not practiced or trained with anyone at all
Apprentice-new member but has done some training with higher ups but has not finished all training
Seaman-new member has finished training with higher ups
Then we got
Petty Officer 3rd Class, Petty Officer 2nd Class, Petty Officer 1st Class, Chief Petty Officer, Master Petty Officer
these are just intermediate ranks which someone can possibly move up through earning medals??? not sure how u guys feel about moving up that way or if it should just be on leaders word who deserves it
So Recapping the chain of command would be as follows:
LEADER
Captain
SPECIAL FORCES
Commander
LT Commander
Senior LT
Junior LT
Ensign
SQUAD LEADERS
WO4
WO3
WO2
WO1
BULK OF MEMBERS
Master Petty Officer
Chief Petty Officer
Petty Officer 1st Class
Petty Officer 2nd Class
Petty Officer 3rd Class
NEW MEMBERS
Seaman
Apprentice
Recruit

Simple Ranking System
*This is Supa's idea i just moved it into the first ranking thread*
The First four ranks are for leadership positions
General - 13th.Warrior (clan leader)
Majors - All Council Members
Captains - All squad leaders that aren't in the council
1st LT - 2nd in command of Squad
The following 5 ranks are for the general members
Ensign - 1 active year in the clan with 10 or more medals (or 20 medals)
Warrant Officer - 9 active months in clan with 5 or more medals (or just 12 medals)
Seargent - 6 active months in the clan with 3 or more medals (or just 7 medals)
Corporal - 3 active months in the clan with 1 or more medals (or 3 medals)
Private - Passed all recruitment training
The following ranks are for new members
Advanced Recruit - new members that have passed a majority of the training
Basic Recruit - Just admitted into the clan. Hasn't begun or reached midway of training.
Basically we will have 16 guys on top if we count SF (which fall under the same ranking system)
Followed by the bulk of the members (roughly 30)
Followed by the new guys (3-5 at a time)
If in 9 months, we find a large amount of people heading near the top of the rankings, we can add in 1 or 2 more when the time comes. But if this works out, we should have an even spread of ranks for members, and obvious positions for leadership roles
I also added a "just __ medal" count to allow exemplary players to rank up regardless of time spent in the clan. So those guys proved themselves quicker than the average.
KEEP IN MIND - for any of this to work, people need to be on top of their shit when it comes to medals. I think if you can earn a medal more than once it will work with a max of 3 times counting towards rank. Basically saying that you can not get the same 20+ kill medal 10 times and make it to ensign. You must prove yourself elsewhere or make it up to the 25+ mark
All this is up for discussion with myself or 13th. Nothing here is final, it's just a different view

Re: Ranks 4 Confrontation
I like the idea for how to move up with the medals or time spent in the clan. As for what we call the ranks I don't care. Mine were from the navy's ranking system, personally I think it should be based on what special forces group we pick in the game, Seals we use navy name, SAS we use British ranks and so forth. I also think the bottom ranks for the new recruits should be based on how much training they have gone to, like you said. But I'm thinking like we have a set training plan for new guys, I.E. movements, demolitions training, CQC training, sniping training stuff like that. Each time they finish one of the training sessions they move up one rank. But that would have to be made first so we know how many ranks there should be for that.
Re: Ranks 4 Confrontation
I think the ranking system we had earlier promoted the best play out of the clan. For example, one requirement for a rank advancement would be getting a certain number of kills in a caln match. Take for example the system on the PS3 for certain games. You have to get things done to get the trophy.

I agree dro, thats why you there is the medal count required to rank up. Just this way its much more general so we dont have to constantly be worrying about who does what and what rank corresponds with it

Re: Ranks 4 Confrontation
Just for your info, the rank titles I used were a mix from the navy and the marines. I did this to make a list of titles that seemed to follow in succession and had different names from eachother
the names are fitting and very intuitive as well
general = generally in charge of everything
majors = major guys in the clan
captains = team captain/squad captain
first LT = the first guy to go to when a captain isnt around

Re: Ranks 4 Confrontation
We've decided on going with the navy ranks in the meeting last Monday, its a little modified from what we had with Warrant Officers being removed. The new list is like this:
Captain = 13thWarrior only he can get it cause hes leader
Commander is Squad Leader of his SF group
LT Commander Is our top Squad Leader
Senior LT Is a Squad Leader
Junior LT Is second in command of his squad
Ensign Is third in command of his squad
Master Petty Officer-has played with the clan for 1 year or has earned 21 medals. (medals for TK's and Suicides don't count)
Chief Petty Officer-has played with the clan for 9 months or has earned 15 medals. (medals for TK's and Suicides don't count)
Petty Officer 1st Class-has played with the clan for 6 months or has earned 12 medals. (medals for TK's and Suicides don't count)
Petty Officer 2nd Class-has played with the clan for 3 months or has earned 9 medals.(medals for TK's and Suicides don't count)
Petty Officer 3rd Class-has played with the clan for a month or has earned 3 medals. Mush have completed training. (medals for TK's and Suicides don't count)
Seaman-new member has finished training with higher ups
Apprentice-new member but has done some training with higher ups but has not finished all training
Recruit-just joined the clan has not practiced or trained with anyone at all

LEADER
Captain
SPECIAL FORCES
Commander
