Murph's State of the Clan Empty Murph's State of the Clan

Smoke,Council members,fellow Warriors:

The state of the Clan is one that i'd like to report is strong but due to circumstances beyond any of our control we are in a stable situation. As many of you know a long time veteran of the clan has taken a leave of absence from his Socom duties, all of you join me in wishing Sgt_Trei the very best.I thank the other council members for acting swiftly on the nomination of wolfgirl to fill Trei's seat and we all look forward to her sharing her insight and taking on leadership abilities.Over the past months we have seen our clan grow in numbers however we have also seen the decline in playing time from many on the roster. Today the council acted with in its powers to move forward the process of eliminating dead weight from the roster by recommending that Lt_Smoke cut 22 people from the roster now a 50% reduction in clan size may seem like alot but through aggressive and responsible recruiting we can easily be back to almost a full roster. I ask Lt_Smoke and the council to adopt new recruiting rules many times we have picked up players in tryout rooms only to have them leave the clan days later or we don't see them on again for a long time. This is why recruiting must be a longer process than the standard play a couple of games with the new recruit and then send out the tag .Rules for practice should be firm but fair,i'm proposing that if a player misses a practice due to playing another game then he/she should not be allowed to participate in the clan war that same week this is only fair to those who put in the time to practice and learn what is being taught.Once the clan ladder is released we will be joining it, we also plan on participating in any tournaments hosted by Slant Six. Dro83rd is our production specialist so we will be going to him to shoot any kind of videos we may make(training, and otherwise). If we stick together and work as a group 2009 should be a great year.

Thank you for your time

cheers Very well said officer murphdawg,
I couldn't agree with you more. I may only been playing socom and been part of this clan for a short time, but i have seen things that do need some work. Like my skills lol! Anyhow thats besides the point. I guess my view is, wait a bit for recuiting. Lets get the members left and refocus first. I think a smaller number of people will only make a much better and stronger clan. The "deadweight" from the roster, I didnt know any of them guys or gals. Now there is still alot for me to know, but i'm in it for the long haul. A special thanks to officer Dro and officer Murphdawg for being sooo welcoming to me in this clan. I will also try to be fair and honest now that i'm part the council. A BIG hi ya to everyone i haven't met yet. Lets do it!!! for 2009

Murph's State of the Clan Empty Re: Murph's State of the Clan

Well it looks like I can record images from my tv directly into my computer. It even has a HDMI slot so there shouldnt be any reduction in quality. I have a few ideas on training videos and how to make sure that only members of the clan can view them. We dont want any joe schmoe guy popping in here learning all our secrets. As of right now though, the problem was pinpointed with my computer, but its going to have to be shipped out to fix. Looks like Im going back to being without a computer for another few weeks once the box arrives.
Im confident that as a clan we can pass these hurdles that are in our way. Lets face it guys, were not the only clan to have the problems were having. It is sad to see a core group of players that have been gaming together for years be reduced to 3 people, but its not something that should hold us back. Members come and go, but think of it this way. We had a clan of 40+ members, but after a little bit of time that number was cut in half. That means weve got 20+ soldiers ready to throw down. Give it another few months and that number will double.

Dro can we make a video with lots of stuff going boom? I had an idea of putting a video like that to Click Click Boom by Salivia, just as something fun to do.

Ummmm..........no! LOL I dont care. Its gonna take awhile to get this thing fixed. It works fine now, but I dont want that fan to die and then Ill fry the CPU. Draw up a S/B and tell me some of it. We'll see what we can do about it. Like I said, Ive got tons of ideas on regular clan videos and also training videos. Once I get this thing squared away, Ill make a post in here asking for people to help me out. Please dont ask in here, because Im no where near ready to start making videos.

Murph's State of the Clan Empty Re: Murph's State of the Clan

umm... Idk what happened, but I had already nominated from my own squad my replacement. No offence WG. But I really thought I had my affairs in order when I took my LoA. I was ready to come back to being under XDGMs command and it seems that I'll be under WGs command when I return. When I stated my relief before I left, I expected that my last order as an ongoing Vet to be honored. However it seems that the ranking only works by leadership and popularity running hand in hand. I am and will allways be the designated a5h0l3 in this clan because I am the only person that will tell ppl the way it is. Most of u don't realize the ppl u step onwhen u make ur decisions. U stepped on me and X by giving control of my squad to someone thats never been in my squad.I'm sure WG is a good choice, she wasn't my choice. Case in point. The reason y my wife won't play. She was told she (by Lt. Smoke) had a spot in the clan when she started up. After the 1st time she ever touched the game, she was told: "Once u get more exp in the game, U can tryout for the clan" (by Murph). The double standard in this clan has left me wanting to never return to it. Now I add this to the list of numerous things I have never said anything about and now I feel that my 4 years of being in this clan and it's leadership was a big joke. The worst part is I know alot of u on a personal level, so it's hard for me to turn my back on u. Don't respond to this post. I will never read it, for this is my last ever thing I doing with this clan. I have changed my name and deleted all my other accounts. From now on, I am ur enemy on the battlefield. I am known as the name of destruction weilded by the god Thor. My new clan is very accepting, adept in tactics, have a firm ranking and a strong leader. Your Friend Turned Enemy Sgt.Trei
P.S. I'm removing all ur names from all my accounts on the PC.

Murph's State of the Clan Empty Re: Murph's State of the Clan

Post by XDGM19 Fri Feb 20, 2009 2:52 pm

WHAT THE FUCK is going on in these forums I do not check the posts very much unless I got the time to. So basically I come on to today to check them out and find that Trei is pissed w/ some issues regarding this clan. It sounds like he is pissed that Wolfgirl3315 is in control of charley squad or something (I do not know). Someone needs to clarify these issues tonight at practice or something b/c it seems to me that things are SLOPPY right now within this clan. I am speaking in all areas number 1- being the roster, 2- the squads and there leaders (post them as I did), 3- practices (WE NEED STRUCTURE AND TACTICS), 4- chain of command (who’s at the top) I believe it goes Murphdawg1, Lt_Smoke, TheGunDoctor, wolfman3315, XDGM19, DRO83RD, Wolfgirl3315, and last BUT NOT LEAST---- WIN’S--- we need to win a HELL of a lot more than we are right now. I do not think since I have been with this clan that when we play as a clan we have won 5 clan matches let alone games. Please note that I am in no way trying to put anyone down or the clan just trying to give us all a hard awakening. I do not like the fact that it sounds like Trei has returned to the game but only to have been strongly disappointed w/ actions in the clan. Reason for my disappointment being that he is a friend of mine through SOCOM and I got to know him well, but my disappointment rest in the fact that he is one hell of a gamer on SOCOM. So his departure is one hell of a blow to WAR!

P.S. If anyone can still contact Trei please have him contact me through the forum or the PS3 if you see this Trei CONTACT ME.

Trei: I think you have misunderstood what we did, Wolfgirl hasn't taken over Charlie she was only put on the council to fill a spot. I also don't remember telling your wife that at all and if I did well I surely didn't mean it. She had a pending clan invite for the longest time on Socom Combined Assault. Sorry that you took things the wrong way buddy.
